5. How to clean the touch screen?

Much depends on the type of touchscreen being cleaned - resistive touchscreens are susceptible to damage from cleaning agents or chemicals, while projected capacitive touchscreens tend to be more resistant. Product specification documents will have more detailed instructions, the following are general guidelines for cleaning projected capacitive screens:

• When cleaning the touch screen, do not use any strong acidic, alkaline or organic chemical solvents.
• When the panel needs to be cleaned, it is recommended to use neutral detergent or isopropyl alcohol.
• When cleaning the touch screen, use a soft cloth to avoid scratching.
